ABOUT ASHLAND CITY, TN – HAPPY TO BE YOUR HOMETOWN HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING CONTRACTOR!

Ashland City is a Cheatham County town with about 4,600 residents. It was created in 1856, and initial growth was attributed to the success of a local forge and gristmill. Ashland City is situated along the Cumberland River, and Sydney’s Bluff is visible from most portions of the community. Today, much of Ashland City’s economy is driven by manufacturing operations at A.O. Smith, which fabricates water heaters. The city limits were also expanded recently and now incorporate the Cheatham County Industrial Park, which houses paper products, barge building operations, and concrete manufacturers.

Whether you live in Ashland City or are just passing through, there are many interesting things to do. Ashland City hosts many events throughout the year, which include the Spring River & Roots, Summerfest, and the annual Christmas parade. The town maintains four parks with over 200 acres of recreational space, and thousands of people enjoy the Bicentennial Trail each year for biking, walking, or jogging. Nature lovers may enjoy a tour with Blue Heron Cruises, which docks at local Riverbluff Park. Firearm enthusiasts might also like to visit the indoor gun and archery range at Ashland City Armory, and handgun safety classes are available for beginners.

Found within a humid subtropical climate zone, weather conditions in Ashland City change throughout the year. Summers here are long, hot, and humid, and there are many days in which thermostat readings reach well into the 90s. Central air conditioning is essential, and the right system at home is a necessity. When selecting a new A/C unit, SEER rating and size should both be taken into consideration, and an HVAC professional can help residents to choose the right system. For existing air conditioners, periodic servicing may be all that is needed to ensure these systems work properly throughout the summer.

Likewise, the winter season in Ashland is short and mild to cool in regards to temperature. Snow does fall here with about six inches of accumulation each year. Freezing temperatures are possible, especially overnight, and residents typically invest in a gas or electric furnace systems at home. While they won’t be needed for much of the year, when temperatures drop outdoors they will keep interior conditions comfortable.
