ABOUT CHARLOTTE, TN – HAPPY TO BE YOUR HOMETOWN HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING CONTRACTOR!

Located in Dickson County, Tennessee, Charlotte is a small town with about 1,500 residents. The community serves as the county seat and is located within the Nashville Metro Area. Charlotte was originally established in 1808 and named for the wife of General James Robertson. It is centered on the junction of State Route 49, which connects the community to upper west Tennessee and Kentucky. All schools in town are served by Dickson County Public Schools, and older students in Charlotte will finish their secondary education at Creek Wood High School.

While Charlotte isn’t home to any major tourist attractions, there are several popular businesses here. Charlotte offers several restaurants with varied menu options, including Jonah’s Pizza, Courtside Café, Wall’s BBQ, and Don Chuy’s Mexican Grill. Locals can pick up groceries at Country View Amish Market and household essentials at the Dollar General Store. Other noteworthy shopping destinations include Gold Miner’s Daughter and Charlotte’s Hometown Pharmacy.

Climate conditions in Charlotte vary with the seasons. July and August are the hottest months of the year, and average daily highs reach about 89 degrees Fahrenheit. High humidity levels can make it feel even hotter, so it is important that residents have a place to cool off. Central air conditioning is a necessity to make it through the season safely and comfortably.

Winters in Charlotte tend to be cool to mild, which is typical of the Upper South. Average daily high temperatures in January reach the mid-40s, and while snowfall does occur during the winter, it typically isn’t heavy. The most important concern is protecting a home from the cold, which can be done with the right furnace system. When selecting a furnace for a Charlotte area property, it is important to consider the AFUE rating, which measures how efficiently the system will convert fuel into usable energy throughout the heating season. Higher AFUE ratings equate to more efficient systems with less wasted fuel, so these units are a smart choice for both the environment and the homeowner’s budget.
